Located 17 miles from Perth, Crieff is a busy market town with a large variety of shops with many excellent restaurants, pubs, bars, coffee shops, delicatessens, clothes, whisky and gift shops.  It is also home to the Crieff Hydro Hotel with many excellent facilities for family entertainment and activities at their Activ Centre, and the oldest distillery in Scotland at The Famous Grouse Experience, Aberturret Distillery.

Edinburgh and Glasgow are both an hour away and accessible by car or train from Gleneagles or Dunblane station.  Gleneagles is on the main London to Inverness line, with a direct service of only 5.5 hours to London!

Golf – there are a variety of local courses, including the local Crieff, Comrie and Aberfeldy courses, along with the more famous Gleneagles and St Andrews courses - ideal for a day trip.

There is plenty of opportunity for guests to take fishing on local rivers and lochs.

Cycling is available on a network of local trails along with the renowned Comrie Croft cycle activity centre.

Classic car groups and motorcycle enthusiasts frequently use Crieff as a central base for touring holidays and are much welcomed at The Limes!
